Glass Elevators – How does it work?

Variations in air pressure permit the vacuum lift to ascend and descend. The car moves in reaction to the variation in air pressure above and below the cab. As the elevator lowers, the air pressure beneath the cab decreases as the air pressure above increases. The opposite occurs when the lift ascends.

European Safety Standards

Nibav Glass Elevators do not require battery backup or any other temporary power source in the case of a power outage. They come standard with all safety features, which include Telephone, Light, Fan, Child Switch, Emergency Descend, and Alarm.

Environmentally Responsible Home Lifts

When ascending, the Nibav Glass Elevators operate on single-phase power and require only 3.7 kVA of energy. This elevator consumes ZERO energy during descent, making it a GREEN elevator. Since our elevator operates primarily on air, it does not require any lubrication or oil. This allows us to lower the servicing frequency from monthly to every four months.

No Pit or Machine Room Required

Our Vacuum Glass Elevators are situated on the existing ground floor and do not necessitate a pit, well, or machine room in addition to zero civil works as the construction is self-supporting. The elevator pits or the engine room’s underground chamber are referred to as the devil’s cellar since they are known to collect dust and serve as a habitat for insects and vermin.

The external cylinder is a transparent self-supporting tube constructed from specially developed reinforced aluminum and galvanized steel. This renders the exterior structure completely corrosion-free and incredibly lightweight. The walls are constructed from polycarbonate sheets that are 250 times stronger than glass which makes them the safest glass elevators around the world. This is the same substance utilized in bulletproofing technology, rendering it merely unbreakable.

The glass lift consists of modular sections that are easily interchangeable. The steel roof of the shaft maintains an airtight seal with suction valves and inlets.
